  • Why shop with Bills Online?

    Bill's Online is for those who are unable to get our Certified Organic Sourdough at their local stores or those who want to take advantage of larger orders that may include discounts. (15+ loaves)

    Orders are set at a minimum of 6 loaves. (4 loaf Minimum for Newcastle, Central Coast & Sydney) Optimal orders are 6, 9,15 and 20. Orders that fill these box sizes "travel" better.

  • Is Bills Certified Organic sourdough gluten free?

    Our bread is NOT gluten free. Sourdough bread contains less gluten than regular yeast bread, but it's NOT gluten-free. If you're on a gluten-free diet for celiac disease, regular sourdough bread may not be suitable for you. Sourdough goes through a long fermentation period whereby the lactobacteria in your starter start to break down the gluten in the flour. This results in a lower gluten level in your baked bread.

    There are several potential causes of gluten intolerance, including celiac disease, non-celiac gluten sensitivity, and wheat allergy. All three forms of gluten intolerance can cause widespread symptoms. Sourdough is a low-gluten bread. It also contains lower levels of fructans, another substance that can cause unpleasant digestive symptoms in some people. This can make sourdough a better option for people with IBS, gluten intolerance or gluten sensitivity.

  • Is there any soy in your products?

    None. Our lecithin is derived from rapeseed.

    Lecithin makes doughs more stable during fermentation and easier to process. Lecithin's water-binding effect improves the bread's shelf life.

  • What is Bill's delivery range?

    Bills Certified Organic sourdoughs are delivered to any postcode that can be reached, "next day". "Next day" is sometimes determined by circumstances affecting couriers.

    Postcodes that satisfy "next day" criteria are built into our online store. If you are unable to receive a "next day" delivery, please contact us to try to work out a convenient alternate delivery solution that is serviced by our courier partners.

  • What is the estimated delivery time?

    Our certified organic sourdoughs are made to order. When you place an order with us, it is logged into or computer system. Your order is then scheduled for baking to coincide with the next delivery due in your area the following week. We will notify you of the planned delivery day.

    We recommend that you order before 11am on Friday for a despatch on the following Monday. Orders received after 11am Friday and those on Saturday and Sunday will not be logged until Monday, thus pushing despatch to the following Monday. "Next week" delivery allows us to counteract inconsistent courier schedules (due to weather events and delivery volumes pre weekend) and to better manage our baking schedule (result of Covid)

  • Who does your deliveries?

    We process all deliveries through reputed courier companies like Startrack, Aramex and Devom. We do some local deliveries ourselves where convenient. You should add any special delivery instructions at checkout.

  • How are items packaged?

    All orders are delivered in sealed cardboard boxes.

  • What if my delivery is later than planned?

    Your cardboard box will have stickers on it showing both your information and the courier's consignment information. If your delivery is late please contact the courier company using their supplied phone number and the consignment number. If you have trouble resolving your problem please contact us.

  • How is checkout managed?

    Shopify Payments allows you to pay by credit/debit card or use Paypal.
